Our work has global reach and local impact. In 2020, our European offices contributed substantially to the COVID-19 response in a variety of impactful ways. We assisted a humanitarian charity in London with complex legal and practical issues, enabling it to remain operational and protect lives during a vital period. In Brussels, Sidley has collaborated with the UN Refugee Agency to undertake an in-depth review into how States have enabled remote legal assistance, advice, and representation in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our colleagues also assisted a manufacturer of PPE in navigating regulatory complications and helped a UK-based anti-poverty charity after it saw a 600% increase in demand for services during the outbreak.
